5 Best WordPress Plugins for Industrial Use

We love telling you about the latest in online marketing for industrial businesses! If your website’s CMS is WordPress, you have an unbelievable array of plug-ins and tools available to help you maximize your website’s performance. With so many options, it’s easy to become overwhelmed. Which tools are right for your business? While more well known plugins such as Yoast SEO, Contact Form 7, Jetpack etc. are great tools, we wanted to scout around and try some plugins or tools less well known – and particularly if we thought they would be useful for industrial businesses. With that in mind, here are 5 of the best WordPress plugins we found for industrial B2B’s.

1. The Testimonials

We all know that words of happy customers can go a long way in moving a website visitor to take the next step – whether that’s taking an action on your site or picking up the phone and calling. This plugin uses the power of testimonials in a beautiful manner. It has tons of options to display testimonials, product reviews, list of quotes, and case studies. You can even end each testimonial with a contact form as an extra call to action. Check out their examples by clicking here.

2. Polylang

Do you have a lot of international customers – or opportunities? Allow visitors to view your site in the language of their choice with this plugin. In addition to translating the usual posts and pages, it also translates meta data such as categories, tags, taxonomies, etc. Use as many languages as you want by checking them off on their menu. Free and paid options are available here.

3. Slider Revolution

We’ve discussed the importance of visual media and videos to bring your products to the spotlight. There is no better tool to do so than Slider Revolution. Although it can be intimidating at first to see so many features, there are demos that can be configured to meet your industrial needs. One such example is their Whiteboard entry. It can be a great tool for those who are comfortable speaking and can visually demonstrate what your potential customers can expect from working with your business.

4. Mail Poet

There are several email service providers we use that are great; but when we reviewed the features of Mail Poet, we were impressed. A stand out is its ability to work without logging into the WordPress site. This is ideal for managers who would like to avoid extra steps or have trouble holding on to passwords. You can create three types of automatic emails including welcome, new blog post, and for other users. The light version is free and the pro version offers great tracking tools.

5. Media Grid

Visual media convinces – but if its not well organized and easy for site visitors to access, it may not have the chance. If you want to show off your videos, photos, charts, presentations, and other graphics in a logical and visually appealing way – Media Grid is a great option. It is particularly nice for inexperienced users and offers a one click setup. You can load one of their 10 preset styles and customize it with your images. Try it here.

Marketects was founded in 1999 by Kerry O’Malley, a proven marketing communications professional in international, manufacturing companies. Working on the “other side of the desk,” she hired ad agencies to manage her employers’ advertising and P/R programs. Frustrated over the lack of attention and level of enthusiasm she was looking for in the marketing agencies she worked with, Kerry realized that there was a definite need for a full-service marketing firm that specialized in working with industrial companies. She resolved that her clients would always receive the highest level of service possible and never feel like the last kid chosen for the team.
